Post 8 Season Comes To An End

On Saturday afternoon Post 8 saw their season come to an end with a 13-7 loss to eventual Central Plains Regional Tournament Champion Creighton Prep.

Post 8 would have the 4-1 lead going to the bottom of the third when they would give up eight runs and Creighton Prep would take the lead for good. Maguire Raske would take the loss for Post 8 we went two and a third innings, gave up nine runs, six hits and struck out three.

Post 8 was able to accomplish a lot during their post season run. They were able to win a Region Championship, State Championship and won two games in the Central Plains Regional Tournament. They finish their season with a 38-17 record. Went 17-4 in the month of July and won 11 games in a row before they loss in Dickinson, North Dakota.

Congratulations to Post 8 on a fantastic season. Post 8 will be having a welcome home on Wednesday at Hyde Stadium at 7 pm as they will honor this year’s team and also the last state championship team from 1968. All of the public is welcome to attend.
