Pierre Woman Sentenced After Selling Marijuana By Convenience Store

A Pierre woman has been sentenced for selling marijuana in front of the Cowboy Country Store in Fort Pierre.
According to Stanley County States Attorney Thomas P. Maher, 39 year old Angela Jagne appeared before Circuit Judge Patricia DeVaney Wednesday for sentencing on her offense of Distribution of 1 ounce or less of Marijuana.
On August 25thof 2016, Jagne sold five baggies of marijuana in the parking lot of the Cowboy Country Store. After considering a presentence report and hearing the comments and arguments of the parties, DeVaney sentenced Jagne to serve 2 years in prison, which was suspended on conditions that Jagne complete four years of supervised probation, immediately serve 90 days in the Women’s penitentiary, comply with all standard conditions of probation, pay a $1,000 fine and complete behavioral programs.
Jagne pled guilty to the charge in May as part of a plea deal.
