Pierre Man Sentenced On Escape Charges

Attorney General Marty Jackley and Hughes County States Attorney Wendy Kloeppner announced last week that 26 year old Patrick LeBeau of Pierre was sentenced to 5 years in the state penitentiary with three suspended for escape and 2 years in the state penitentiary for simple assault domestic violence with both sentences to run consecutively.
Charges stem from two separate incidents in Pierre. The first occurred on October 8th, 2016, when LeBeau was charged with a domestic violence related incident while on parole. While out on bond, LeBeau was arrested on March 12th on additional assault charges. Shortly after his arrest, LeBeau fled on foot and was apprehended shortly thereafter.
This case was investigated by the Pierre Police Department and prosecuted by the Hughes County States Attorney and the Attorney General’s Office.
