Pierre Man Pleads Not Guilty To Aggravated Sexual Abuse Of A Child

A Pierre man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child, Travel with Intent to Engage in Illicit Sexual Conduct, and Transportation, Distribution, Receipt and Possession of Child Pornography.
According to US Attorney Randy Seiler, 30 year old Amin Ricker pled not guilty to the charges Wednesday in federal court.
Ricker was indicted for distribution and possession of child pornography in April of2017. The indictment further alleges that between the 1st day of November 2014, and the 31st day of March 2015, Ricker crossed a state line with the intent to engage in a sexual act with children under the age of 12, traveled in interstate commerce for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a person under the age of 18, and received and transported child pornography.
Earlier this year, Ricker pled not guilty to ten separate child porn charges in Hughes County Court. Ricker was arrested on February 14th in Pierre on ten separate counts of possession of child pornography.
The charges are merely accusations and Ricker is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The penalty upon conviction is a mandatory minimum of 30 years in prison and up to life in prison and/or a $250,000 fine. Ricker was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending trial, which is set for October 3rd.
