Hackers Targeting US Energy Sector

HURON, S.D. (WNAX) -- CBS News is reporting that a well-known cybersecurity company says hackers have been targeting the energy sector in the United States. Cyber firm Symantec says in a new report that hackers codenamed "Dragonfly" have been able to infiltrate energy sector computer networks with malicious emails, so-called watering hole attacks, and Trojanized software.
Northwestern Energy Spokesman Tom Glanzer says they see some type of internet attack every day.

The Department of Homeland Security released a statement saying they were aware of the reports, but saw no immediate threat to the US electric grid.
