Govs Drop A Tough One At Home In OT

A tough lost last night for the Pierre Govs boys basketball team as they took on Harrisburg at home. The Govs would drop this one 71-68.
The Govs got out to a hot start as they took the 17-9 lead after the first quarter. A good second quarter from Harrisburg would cut the lead going into the locker room 33-26. The Govs would get out scored 16-12 in the third quarter after having a 16 point lead at one point in that quarter. It would be a struggle for a while in the fourth quarter but the Govs would pick it up by the end of the fourth. The Govs would get down as much as seven in the fourth they would battle back and Sam Edman would hit a three as time expired to force overtime. The Govs would get outscored in OT 14-11 for the Govs to drop this game and lose their second game in a row. Harrisburg wins their fifth game in a row.
The Govs had three score in double figures Brad Dead led the way with 20 and Peyton Zabel and Sam Edman both had 15. Leading the way for the Harrisburg Tigers was Brady VanHolland who had 19 points. The Govs record falls to 9-9 on the season.
