Good Weekend For PST

The Pierre Swim Team kicked off the long course season in Chamberlain on June 10th at the Chamerlain City Pool.

Presley Frost and Brylee Pelle competed in the girls 8 & under division. Brylee came home with a ninth place finish in the 25 meter freestyle, and tenth place finishes in the 25 meter backstroke and 50 meter freestyle. Presley ended the day with fourth place finishes in the 50 and 25 backstroke, and 25 meter freestyle. She also swam the 50 meter freestyle, placing seventh.

Jaycee Bauer and Amara Dell competed in the girls 9-10 division. Jaycee came home with a first place finish in the 50 meter freestyle, and second place finishes in the 100 meter individual medley, 50 meter butterfly, and 50 meter breaststroke.  Amara had a first place finish in the 50 meter backstroke, second place finish in the 50 meter freestyle, third place finish in the 50 meter butterfly, and a fourth place finish in the 50 meter breaststroke. In the girls 11-12 division, Katelynn Axtell finished first in her 200 meter individual medley, 50 meter butterfly, 50 meter backstroke, and 50 meter breaststroke. Michelle Weiss placed first in the 50 meter freestyle, and third in the 200 meter individual medley, 50 meter butterfly, and 50 meter breaststroke.

Colton Cass represented PST in the boys 9-10 division, placing third in the 50 meter freestyle, fifth in the 50 meter butterfly and 50 meter backstroke, and seventh in the 50 meter breaststroke. In the boys 11-12, Mason Dell had first place finishes in the 50 meter freestyle and 50 meter breaststroke. He also brought home the second place finish in the 50 meter butterfly and third place in the 50 meter backstroke. Aidan Burke competed in the boys 13-20 age group, finishing first in the 50 meter butterfly, second in the 50 meter backstroke, and third in the 50 meter freestyle and 200 meter individual medley.

The relay team of Axtell, A. Dell, Weiss, and Bauer brought home third place in the girls 200 meter free relay and fourth place in the 200 meter medley relay.Pierre Swim Team will be back in action this coming weekend at the Aberdeen Summer High Points Swim Meet held June 16-18 at the Aberdeen Aquatic Center. Sixteen PST athletes are registered to swim a total of 99 individual events and two relays.
