Blood Drive In Urgent Need Of Donors In Pierre Monday And Tuesday

Sunday, May 31, 2015

The Pierre Community Blood Drive scheduled for Monday and Tuesday is in urgent need of donors.

United Blood Services currently has 70 open appointment slots for Monday and 51 open slots for Tuesday. When they have this many available appointments, it means that we are in danger of not having enough blood available for our patients. They need all blood types except AB.

If you have already scheduled an appointment, thank you so much. If you have not scheduled, will be in town, and are in good health, please consider doing so. You can go to to schedule your own appointment or call Abbie at 999-8504.

United Blood Services apologizes if you have received multiple calls for this blood drive. They have called in extra volunteers to help ensure that our patient's needs are met.

Thank you so much for your continued support of United Blood Services and the patients we serve. Only 5% of the population donates blood and that makes you pretty darn special!

The Pierre Community Blood Drive is being held at the United Methodist Church Monday from 12:00 - 6:30 and Tuesday from 9:00 - 2:45.
